Feeding our children (Student Lunches)

In Genesis 47:13-27, Joseph took on the task of helping the people of Egypt and Canaan to thrive during a famine by storing up provisions and distributing to those in need. Memphis, like many cities around the world, are dealing with the impact of the COVID-19 virus. Many of our children who rely on the free lunch program in the Shelby County Schools are now going without due to the school closures. The JOSEPH PROJECT is an outreach that will provide lunches to help ensure that our kids will have the meals they need!

HOW TO GET HELP

The lunch distribution will be similar to a "drive-thru"! Each vehicle will receive one bag per child in the car.  Follow up on our Facebook page to find out the schedule of our lunch distribution.

HOW TO GIVE HELP

We want to give people the opportunity to help in this effort. If you would like to donate to JOSEPH PROJECT, CLICK HERE to give your monetary gift that will be used for the purchasing of lunches (Make sure you select "Student Lunch" after you enter your donation amount).

NORAH'S HANDS

A distribution HUB IN A TIME OF need

Being a single parent can be tough, and with the COVID-19 crisis causing many to be laid-off, it creates new challenges for these parents to support their homes.  Named after a child of a single parent, THE REC is using NORAH'S HANDS to be a distribution center for those families that are in need and can't purchase the everyday items we often take for granted. We would like to provide a place that families can come and receive goods FREE OF CHARGE such as Non-Perishable Food, Cleaning Supplies, Toiletries, etc.

HOW TO GET HELP

The NORAH'S HANDS STORE will be opening soon! The program will allow families to come once a month to select items needed. To take advantage of this program, please fill out the form below and a member of our NORAH'S HANDS will contact you.  You may also call us at 901-365-9293.
